Honda file

For 1979 the six-cylinder CBX reached US showrooms, carrying over the 105 hp, 24-valve engine and chassis of the 1978 launch bike. Cycle World ran the quarter mile in about 11.4 seconds and Cycle Guide hailed it as the modern Vincent Black Shadow. Even so, its price, weight and insurance costs kept sales slow, and Honda's own cheaper CB900F soon outsold it.
